Why Should I Register at St. Peter & Paul's???

If you decide to register at St. Peter & Paul's (which is totally your choice) this is how it will help St. John's and St. Mary's:

1.  Your current envelope  # will be used to designate your weekly contribution as St. Mary's or St. John's $$

2.  This money will be used to pay the bills of St. John's

& St. Mary's

3.  The number of registered people sitting in the pews will increase our "count" per Mass.

IF PEOPLE STOP COMING TO MASS AND STOP CONTRIBUTING EACH WEEK TO PAY OUR BILLS

**THEN WE WILL BE IN TROUBLE**

Coffee Hour is Back!

Coffee Hour is Back!

You are welcome to bring a food or drink item to share.

We Say Goodbye Fr. Paul Mukasa

A Farewell Message of Hope: Your Support Will Make a Difference.

Dear brothers and sisters, as I get closer to the end of this chapter of my journey here, I am filled with immense gratitude and appreciation for the love, support, and hospitality you have shown me. Your kindness and generosity have made me feel at home, even amid the winter’s chill.

I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to share our faith and values with one another. Your commitment to spreading love, hope, and compassion has inspired me, and I will carry this inspiration with me always. You have made me a better person.

A Call for Help:

A Car for my ministry.

As I return to my home ministry, I am excited to go and continue sharing God’s love and hope with my community. However, our ministry faces significant challenges that hinder our ability to reach and serve our people effectively. Our parishes have many stations and scattered villages over wide areas. Without a reliable vehicle, it is difficult for me to visit the sick, attend to emergencies, conduct outreach programs, and respond to crises. As I return home, I am in urgent need of a reliable vehicle that can withstand the challenging African terrain and weather conditions. I must mention that priests in Uganda are called unsalaried employees who depend on God’s providence for survival. Your support in this regard will be a huge boost to my ministry.

Sponsoring Children and Seminarians.

About 15% of our children in Uganda live under the protection and responsibility of their grandparents, most of whom were orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The burden of taking care of grandchildren is carried by grandparents whose health and energy is declining and yet too poor to support these children. The church strives to create a safety net that addresses their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring they receive the care and opportunities they deserve. I urge you to support this cause to make a difference in the lives of these precious children.

Lastly, as vocations to the priesthood and religious life continue declining in Europe and North America, God has still blessed us with many vocations. We have several young men who are discerning a call to the priesthood. I invite you to support their education and formation, enabling them to become future missionaries to the Universal Church. I was personally sponsored by an Italian couple throughout my seminary formation. Without their support, I would not have made it to the Altar.

May God bless you abundantly for your kindness, generosity, and compassion.

Road to Renewal

The Catholic Faithful, priests, deacons, religious, parish administrators and school leaders of the Diocese of Buffalo have embarked on a journey to reinvigorate Catholic faith, more fully optimize parish and diocesan resources, and increase the impact of our varied ministries throughout WNY.

In order to address a projected, serious shortage of priests in 2030 (99 priests to staff 160 parishes), parishes are being grouped into families that will share resources and priests.

Our parish was originally scheduled to implement the change beginning in October, 2024.  The timeline has been updated and we are now scheduled to begin the process on the first of next month: October, 2022.  Please select the image to the right for more information.
